Java Java Data Structures Getting There Packages

While in the console for a java workspace, I typed cd / to go back to my uppermost parent directory, and got deeeeeeeep access to the directory tree, to the point that I didn't know how to get back to my directory. I ended up killing the console and opening a new one, which fixed my problem, but it doesn't seem like a user should ever get that deep into the directory, to its root basically.
