Workspace maxing out application memory on brand new macbook pro

I've been using teamtreehouse on my old desktop PC and recently transitioned to using my new macbook pro. To my dismay, as soon as I opened workspace, I received an alert saying that I don't have adequate application memory forcing me to close Chrome. This is with no other programs running directly after reboot.

Any recommendations?
