would like to know where i've went wrong with this. thanks in advanced

just would like to be pointed out what errors i have in this i have already seen a solution just want to know what was wrong with mine.

    sortedStr= []
    sortedInt= []

    for items in list:

        if isinstance(items,str):
        elif isinstance(items,(int,float)):


     joinedStr = "".join(sortedStr)
    convertedInt= str(sum(sortedInt))

    return joinedStr + convertedInt

joinedStr is not intendent
