4,233 PointsWould love to get some feedback on my portfolio site!
Hey everyone! I recently redesigned my portfolio site and would love to get some initial feedback before I launch.
My main goal with this site is to eventually land a junior front-end dev/designer position at a creative agency.
If anyone would like to know how I did some of the simple interactions on the site, I did most of the interactions in codepen before implementing them. Check them out on my codepen profile (http://codepen.io/supersarap), or shoot me an email (troy.slaten@laterisers.com) if you want to ask me a question or just say hello!
I really appreciate and welcome any feedback!

- The top level menu items are a bit difficult to read, specifically the grey text with the drop shadow effect. I would try and darken that text because in Chrome it looks a bit aliased. The drop shadow text works great with the button though.
- I don't see an area that explains what you're good at. I know you have outbound links to all of your relevant profiles, but maybe a quick rundown would work well in your intro section. Just a thought.
- Finally, the contact form confused me since it was offset. I didn't immediately notice the "Thank You!" text to the right. I would recommend changing the color of the text to the orange that you're using so it is more noticeable.
All in all I am nitpicking and your site looks fantastic. I hope you can find that designer job you're looking for!

7,438 PointsHey Troy,
I liked the effect on the resume button.
The "WEB & USER INTERFACE DESIGNER" for me that whole header and paragraph scrolls off the page, im using firefox may want to look for a fix for that.
Also dont forget your copyright on the bottom :P
Other then that i think it looks great :)

4,233 Pointsah man, copyright at the bottom. Amateur mistake on my part, lol. Thanks for the reminder!

12,152 PointsHey Troy,
The site looks great man, everything was functioning well in Safari and overall I thought it had great flow throughout the site. I pretty much have the same comments to say as Steven so I won't bore you with them again. I also took a look at the site on IE8 and things look pretty good there as well. Great job!

4,233 PointsThanks for the heads up! Unfortunately I haven't been in contact with the site owner since I graduated about over a year ago. I'll definitely shoot him an email to see if everything is ok.

5,127 PointsThe resume button is adorable (: I liked the little triangle in the middle above the "Big Three", and I wish you would continue to use something like that throughout all of your sections.
A little confused by the lack of a footer, but honestly... overall, great job (:

4,233 PointsLea,
I'm glad you like the resume button! :D It was kind of a last minute add on that took entirely too long to make.. lol.
Great site by the way! It has an awesome personal touch, something my site may lack I'm afraid, haha.

12,216 PointsThe visual design is pretty legit. Very web 2.0.
I have a technical critique. You may want to check out the responsiveness. I first looked at it on my iPad on my lunch hour and said "this can't be right" so I decided to come back to it on a computer. Sure enough it wasn't right. It looks ok on the iPhone 5, only your job title is messed up. It hangs off the bg a little. However on the iPad it's all kinds of jacked up (in both Safari and Chrome). The top square doesn't have your main image at all. and everything is a big square that doesn't extend to the edge of the browser window. If you're rocking a Mac I would download xcode for the iOS simulator.
