Would somebody please critique my website?

Hi, I've just finished redesigning my Wordpress site. I decided to use the Genesis framework after going over Jesse Petersen's Genesis course. It loads a lot faster than it did when I was using a very bloated premium theme, but I think it's still not loading very fast. Also, I'm not sure how to fix any browser compatibility issues.

Would love some feedback (even though it terrifies me a little)

Hi Cheryl!

You should enable gzip compression on your hosting provider for a faster loading time.

looks good and loaded fast so dont stress too much about it

there is a course on optimizing your website's speed in the library, you can take a look there

Hey Cheryl, really nice website. I don't think the website is necessarily slow, but the images could definitely load a bit faster. This section of Google Fundamentals on site optimization is an excellent place to start!

Hi Cheryl,

Looks nice, very professional. The only thing i would like to see would be the titles and not the images to be the links for Patterns & Books, fabric etc on the landing page.

I added a plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-text-widget/, so that I could change the text widget titles into a link. Thank you for the critique, Wayne!

I think you've done a great job, Cheryl. Creating a good look is really hard.
