Would the "$" in the template string interfere with jQuery?

I know that the dollar sign is a shorthand for a jQuery object if the library is present. Would the dollar sign in the template string confuse jQuery?

By "template string" do you mean template literals that are surrounded by backs ticks like the following: (back tick)Some text ${expression} and even more text.(back tick) ***Sorry, couldn't get the back tick symbol to display.

These work just fine using jQuery as the back ticks encapsulate the ${} to avoid any confusion.
