Would Treehouse make an app for the new Apple TV?

I think it will be a great experience to learn right from the TV! I could have my laptop with me to follow the steps.

Please make an Apple TV app!

I agree it will be helpful to play the tutorial video while I can use laptop to work on Xcode and do the exercises.

I agree. Lynda.com has one and I've started using it daily. I don't want to be stuck in my computer all the time, honestly.

I will just add my +1 to this threat.

It will be a wonderful addition. It will help me to take control again of my study.

It will be very nice if the app can be synced with the website or iOS app so we can see the videos in the TV and make the exercises in the site or app...

Why not just use your iPad to stream, via AirPlay, to the Apple TV? The Apple TV interface is clunky when you have to type something, so I personally prefer the comfortable iPad.

If one hasn't an reliable ETA then it's good they don't publish that. I don't see a problem with not having a dedicated Apple TV app. It's something nice to have, yes. But till then, I can manage with AirPlay.

Btw: making videos is much more important.

We have debated about it ever since the new Apple TV came out, however, it is not feasible right now because of various reasons. We will keep this thread in mind and revisit our decision in the new year. Thank you everyone for your feedback because we always strive to give our students the best user experience possible.

I would also like to see an Apple TV app for Treehouse. It would add value to my (paid) subscription. For one, it frees up a monitor so I can work in a more spread-out way. I don't know how the "Launch Workspace" functionality would work. Having the proper workspace on the computer while the videos play on the Apple TV would require a lot of back-end gesticulation and synchronization.

Still, it would be AWESOME!

I think workspaces can work independently of video play requirements. I have Lynda subscription through my library and you can watch videos online while work on your local environment on your laptop. Makes it super comfortable to work learn from the living room on a couch. Just my two cents

If you have an iPhone and you watch Treehouse tutorials on Safari or through app, you should see the airplay icon so you can air-stream from your phone to your apple TV, that so far has been the only solution to the subject request. I don't think Treehouse will create app for AppleTV anytime soon :(
