WP themes for selling websites

Does a website designer who is working for a company and selling websites to clients need to buy extended licenses in order to create and sell websites to clients?

What about free WP themes? Can these be used to create and sell websites?

Hey Simon, premium WordPress themes need an extended license (or buying another single license) in order to charge a client for it again. You are only supposed use and charge a client one time for each premium theme. However, you can use the theme as many times as you like, you just can't charge again without purchasing another license.

As for free themes, you'll have to read the licensing for the particular theme. I'd recommend taking the Copyright Basics course at Treehouse. I found it interesting, and informative.

You have to buy one regular license for each project.
