Wrapper is set to pixels

If we are using percentages to make the layout change size for different screen sizes, how can the wrapper div be set to a fixed width of 940 pixels?

You can set a width for specific screen using media queries.

@media screen and (min-width: 960px) {
  .wrapper {
    width: 940px;
  }
}

or using a max-width for the element.

.wrapper {
  width: 100%;
  max-width: 940px;
}
