Write an HTML doc tag

is this not the answer to question 1: <! DOCTYPE html>?

Do I need to write the header, body, etc tags as well?

You just have a typo.

Remove the space between the exclamation ("!") and the word "DOCTYPE".

It needs to be together, you have an extra space after "!"
