Writing in style.scss but nothing change in style.css

I am following the videotutorial, and Installed sass in my mac, but when I active it trough the terminal it does not go when after sass --watch I write the path:

sass --watch /users/sites/project/css/style.scss

Why?

You didn't give it an output, so it didn't save it. The command should be:

sass --watch /users/sites/project/css/style.scss:/users/sites/project/css/style.css

You can also have it watch everything in the css directory:

sass --watch /users/sites/project/css:/users/sites/project/css

It's not a matter of best way. It's a matter of what you need.

A lot of developers just watch the directory because they use a bunch of partials to organize the CSS code better and use Sass to put them together into one file.
