Xampp and the norton: the tale of two opposites

When I try to install Xampp, my antivirus (norton) deletes the installer and says that it is a very high risk Suspicious.Cloud.7eb. I also get it deleted if I download from cnet. Is it actually a virus or is my computer playing up.i did install Xampp lite and that seems to work. Will I miss out on important features for the track if I don't have the full Xampp?

Hi Nicholas

There seem to be a few reports of this on the Xampp boards. It seems to be a false positive (i.e. not a real threat).

If it's still giving you problems you could try an alternative program like Mamp (on Mac) or Wamp (on Windows).
