XAMPP issues

Hi, I installed Xampp on my macbook pro following a tutorial on youtube but things look different for me. I can see Xampp in my applications but I can't see a folder called Xampp which is supposed to be in there as per the tutorial and thus I can't gain access to htdocs etc... I'm totally lost and it's so frustrating. I also ran Xampp and typed localhost etc... in my browser and I received a message saying this site can't be reached. I don't know what to do. Can anyone tell me where I've gone wrong and how to fix my issue? Thanks in advance.

You can also use MAMP despite being on Windows. I use MAMP on my PC with no problems.
