Xcode 6 issues with iOS development course designed for Xcode 5. Vox clamantis in deserto

Hello guys, I'm having a lot of strange problems following along with the iOS development track videos. I'm stuck on the tab bar.

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of help on the forum for these particular issues. I've asked a few questions here and gotten few responses.

Until the course is updated or until instructors start answering, should we (students) just leave the track, do something else (perhaps start in Swift)? Treehouse staff? Anyone? Thanks

Hi,

What you can do is start your app in Xcode 6 as a Tabbed Application - This will give you the structure that Ben is creating in his app without going through the motions of adding everything by hand. If you noticed at 00:24 he specifies that you can start with a Tabbed Application, for example.

Xcode 6 doesn't have the same start apps structure as the older versions and the Empty Application was moved under iOS -> Other in case you really want to follow along.

Hope this helps.

PS If you hit more bumps just send me a message and the code for debugging.

Thanks so much, Robert! I'll try again using the Tabbed Application template. :)
