Xcode & ios 6.1 linking a button to code?

Hi, I just started the tutorial for IOS and I'm noticing that when clicking on a 'button' in Xcode in the IPhone simulator and holding down 'control', it brings up an alternative menu then what the software that tutorial is using in Xcode shows. When he drags the button to the code with the blue line, Is there a way to accomplish this task with the latest version of Xcode?

Well, I just tried it again after typing up that question and it seems to be working, letting me link the button to the code. Nevermind.
