Xcode7 doesn't have a Launchscreen.xib, only LaunchScreen.storyboard, and it's not working for me

Despite making it up in LaunchScreen.storyboard, and going to General>Launch Screen File and setting it to LaunchScreen.storyboard (in theory anyway), no proper launch screen comes up at all. I still have a white screen with black status bar at the top while the app loads.

What are you expecting to see? Did you add something (an image?) to the launch screen view? The launch screen starts off as a blank scene (for a new project). Also, if you did add an image, did you set the appropriate constraints?
