XHTML and HTML5

What are the differences? I have a interview and just realised that XHTML is one of the companies requirements, what should I know about the differences between XHTML and HTML5?

I am aware that XHTML seems like it is slightly more strict when it comes to the mark-up, but what else should I be wary about?
