XML? What library session cover..

I trying to understand XML would that be in data foundation library track if so where and how raw data is GET to POST.

"Information formated in XML can be exchanged across platforms, languages, and applications, and can be used with a wide range of development tools and utilities."

XML is used less these days in favor of JSON which serves the same purpose but is easier to format at to parse.

James Barnett I am wanting to import XML raw data and place in json format for google maps engine. So I saw someone mentioning parse so I should search the library for that term.
