Your primary topic percentile rankings

HI my question is, i have css, html and java script progress why the leadership primary topic percentile rankings only shows, html, css and android. android i only have 12 points because i just look it. so why is not javascript the other primary topic?

Thanks!

Thanks for reporting this. We're going to get that fixed ASAP!

Because I think it's based on actual rankings above others. So although you may have more javascript points you still may have a higher percentage ranking in android for the total number of people that have taken android stages. That'd be my best guess.

actually android say 0% css 82% html 81%., is probably a bug.

but how much does javascript say? If that's also 0%, it could be your android percentage is higher. You could check for yourself in the leaderboards and calculate it for each subject. I've not seen anything you've said yet to indicate it's a bug.

i.e. which is bigger? (total javascript students - your javascript ranking)/(total javascript students) OR (total android students - your android ranking)/(total android students)

Yep probably a bug, email help@teamtreehouse.com and let them know

that is the problem javascript is not there., but thanks for your help!

I mean the ranking numbers from the leaderboards. There are currently 22022 Javascript students and 10175 Android students. Where do you rank among them (the actual number not the percentage)? That's what the percentages are based upon and it's quite feasible with fewer points that you rank higher in percentage among Android students than you do Javascript students. You should be able to calculate the percentage yourself as I mentioned above. http://teamtreehouse.com/leaderboards

You're ranked 12373 out of 22022 students for JavaScript points earned!, so is almost 45%, and is not there. i think probably the web make the percentage per day, so i earn the points today. probably tomorrow is going to be there. we'll see. Thanks!

Primary topics display your current ranking for the three most recent subjects you've earned points/badges for. The reason Android has taken priority over JavaScript is because you've most earned Android points more recently then you've earned JavaScript points. Earn a few JavaScript points and it'll be put right back up there!

Hope this helps!

I earn that android points the first day i subscribe to treehouse, and was just one quiz to see how the web site works. them i make all the progress on the different language like html, css and javascript. so i think that is not the reason. thanks for help!

That doesn't make sense for me either. My displayed topics have always been the ones I am ranked highest in, my current ones still show that even though two of the subjects I've not touched in quite a while compared to other subjects.

Hi, I know this is an old topic but writing in 2016, I can no longer find the percentile information in profile. Has this been removed?
