Zoom Motion on :hover for background using CSS

Is there a way i can slowly zoom a background photo on hover? Using only CSS? I'm stuck, any help is greatly appreciated

Yeah, lets say you want to zoom the backgrond of the body

body {
   background-size: 100% 100%;
   transition: all 500ms;
}

body:hover {
   background-size: 150% 150%;
}
