*zoom property not recognised in Komodo Edit for Mac (CSS Foundations|Floats)

I'm following along with the coding during the Floats lesson and when I try & put the section of code Gil says is "to ensure consistency for IE 6&7 to trigger <something> layout" I get a syntax warning in my editor.

.group { *zoom: 1; }

Is this standard CSS?

*zoom was a IE6 / IE7 thing, no longer used or needed in my opinion .
