Account got reset

everything I did for http://teamtreehouse.com/library/how-to-build-a-wordpress-plugin got reset so it looks like I never started it.... Any idea why?

Same thing happened to me for a few courses. I emailed support and they said they are working on a fix.

Same thing for me for most of my courses but support wrote that they are already hard at work on getting it sorted.

Howdy folks,

We've been transitioning over to a new hosting provider this week (if you'll notice today, the site is much faster!), but some student events didn't move over properly. Don't fret, nobody's data has been lost, but it's going to take a little bit today to get that data properly into the new database.

Please hang in there, it'll be back soon and with a much faster site as a result.

Me too, just completed Building WordPress Widgets, and Shortcodes but doesn't show up on my profile. Will Hang in there and carry on with final badge :)

Just wanted to give a quick update. Getting the data moved over has been a bit slower than we anticipated. It'll definitely be back, but it's just taking some time. We'll keep you all updated as it progresses!

One question regarding this, will work that we complete before that data migrates over be properly merged with the prior data? My account is still not accurate but I'm working from where I left off and I'm hoping that neither my old work or new will be lost. Thanks.

Hey Chris Slack, yes, the missing data will be merged together with the current data that has been created since the original data went missing. So your old and new work will all be combined and it should look like none of this ever happened. :)

Thanks for the update Sean. Can you tell me what the maximum amount of points you can get for WordPress is so that I can check if it has updated my profile.

I have completed all the WordPress stuff and have 738 points, which seems to be the same as before I finished the final module for the plugins. The migration problem occurred when I was mid way through the plugin deep dive so affected the WordPress stuff I was doing at the time. So not sure if 738 points is correct or not.

Hey Mark, there are 1,302 total points available for all current WordPress content, which I've verified is what your total should be. I'll dive in and investigate why that's not the case. Thanks for bringing that to our attention!

When trying to open https://teamtreehouse.com/home I get the Error "Holy smokes! There's a temporary problem with Treehouse that we're working to fix right now!" Same for http://teamtreehouse.com/library/how-to-build-your-company and http://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-a-simple-php-application#adding-a-contact-form ...

All my lessons are saying that now.

For me no problem on the .../home page but I am seeing that behavior in the lessons.

Chris Slack, Holger Liesegang, Justin Hardin, I'm sorry you gentlemen are having issues. We have identified the problem and are working to get it fixed. The problem stems from a circumstance that effected some students where a badge wasn't awarded while some of the events were missing. We're working to get those badges rewarded to everyone who should have them. In the meantime, we've put a solution together to keep the site working for people that were getting the "Holy Smokes" error page. As usual, we'll keep you all updated. :)

Everything looks fixed on my side now! The only issue I had was one segment of a deep dive where I had begun the segment before the issue and then completed it during the issue. It had all green checkmarks but didn't indicate that I had completed that segment, I tried just retaking the final quiz and that resolved the issue. Aside from that not only is it all working properly now but a prior issue that I had seen regarding some courses I had completed not showing up as "Completed" is resolved as well! Thanks for all of the hard work on this! Time for your developers to get some sleep :-)
