Anyone know when Treehouse will add Swift to its iOS track?

As an aside, since I'm a newbie, I wonder if Objective-C may soon become obsolete. Thoughts?

Hello A.D,

Unfortunately, I don't know for sure when Swift will be added here at Treehouse. There's nothing iOS related on the current road map.

However, the good news is several teachers are currently working on updates to their courses. I'm sure Amit Bijlani is working hard on the future of the iOS Track :)

I hope that helps.

Thanks, Justin!

You're welcome! As far as Objective-C goes, it is certainly still relevant and will be for a long time. Even projects that do use Swift will most likely also interop with existing Objective-C code so knowing both is the best option. Be ready for any task :)

It'll be Swiftly released as soon as the appropriate NDAs are lifted.

Thanks, Andrew!
