Convert "Shape Data" back to "Font", Is this possible?

Hi,

After converting the text to an outline, by going to Object => Expand, so the font is now turned into shape data.

When sending this to another user, Is he/she will be able to convert the shape data back to font, so it will be editable again and they can change the text?

Is this doable?

Unfortunately this is not possible. Once you've converted the text to a shape you cannot change the text. A good workaround is to keep the text object in the document and hide it (for example setting opacity to 0 and locking the layer).

Thanks a lot Dennis :)
