6,549 PointsCourse Request for Python (Django)
Just wanted to say that treehouse is awesome and everytime i visit it, i get excited like a kid visiting a toyshop over and over again. There is just about everything to get (even the most advanced) developer's hungry. But i feel there is a huge gap left with out Python.
It is one of the top 5 server side languages used now a days and no creative website (that i know of) is offering Python. I know you will have to eventually do this course after some time, so why not now? Plzzzzzzzzzzz you have to do this one.. :)
Hands up everyone who want to see python in the library soon!
Cheers

27,709 PointsKenneth Love , I wasn't able to attend PyCon this year unfortunately due to prior commitments, so I ended up catching it on the PyCon 2014 YouTube channel. http://youtu.be/KZHXjGP71kQ

Treehouse Guest TeacherWe're aiming for a mid-to-late summer release for the first Python course. We have a lot of things planned, though!

27,709 PointsExcellent! Will you be focusing purely on Python and Django, or will you be tackling other frameworks like Flask?
Kenneth Love
Treehouse Guest TeacherThe job description was Python and Django :) but I'll be covering as much stuff as possible, just maybe not in the beginning.
I'd love to be able to cover Flask, PyGame, some of the scientific and GIS libraries, and even a course on releasing software through PyPI. We'll see, though.

2,330 PointsKenneth Love, curious if any of the more advanced python classes cover GIS libraries or is this still in the works?
