How did I end up with points for subjects I haven't taken lessons in?

I somehow have 6 points for Business, Ruby, and PHP, but I haven't taken any of those courses, and I haven't been answering questions in the forum. How did I get those points? Gremlins? Glitch in the matrix?

You get 1 point for every "upvote" you recieve for an answer on a question in that category on the forum.

I'm aware of that, and I like I said, I haven't been answering questions in the forum. To the best of my knowledge, I've only answered one question, which was WordPress-related, which I made after I noticed this issue. How could I have gotten upvotes on topics I know nothing about?

Did some digging, apparently DNS Basics (strangely) gives you points for PHP, Ruby, and Business, even though it's categorized under Development Tools:

Yeah, that was one of the first things I looked at, because I wasn't sure if my memory had lapsed, but I was pretty sure that wasn't the case because I know zilch about Ruby.

Hi Aaron, if you hover over the points in your profile it says whether they are from achievements or the forum. For your 6 points in business, PHP and Ruby they are all listed as "achievement" - this could come from a quiz in the subject even if you haven't completed a full badge.

If you've not done anything related to those subjects send a note to help@teamtreehouse.com and Support may be able to find out where they came from.
