How do I get to the place to download a program and try to program a personal message?

I listened to the Programming Paradigms video. I apparently can't move on to the next video until I practice writing some personal messages but the page is not telling me how to do that.

I am at the same place in the videos, and made a new workspace, but I have no idea how to start. Are there more detailed instructions somewhere? I am not sure what environment I'm supposed to use for my workspace, or what to write in there. Or even if I'm supposed to type in the bottom or the top windows.

The extra practice is optional, you can go on without doing it.

But if you want to try, the workspaces provide several different programming environments.
