I'm about 70% done with the "Web Design" Track, and I was thinking of tackling word press next, are there any things I should learn before wordpress, whats the best way to and best things to learn next in my attempt to get a job. I'm wanting one within the next 6 months and I'm trying to figure what skills to learn in order to be more useful as an employee.

4,731 PointsIf you're focused on Front End development, I'd highly recommend taking a look at our Full Stack JavaScript track or the JS parts of the Front End Web Development track. While our Web Design track is fantastic for an intro to design processes and practices, it omits JavaScript from the curriculum which is crucial for most/all Front End positions.
What kind of job are you looking for- freelance or employed? I may suggest taking a look at some jobs that you will eventually qualify for (e.g. Junior Developer) and noting the requirements. While they may vary, there will be a lot of overlap in the skills requested. At that point, check off the ones you already have and then compare the rest to our library. I hope this helps some! Best of luck and keep up all the hard work.
