Is Timeboxing relative to coming up with a solution to a problem or how long it should take a user to complete the task?

Is Timeboxing meant to be used as a means of establishing an amount of time for a user to complete the task or as a means of establishing an amount of time for you and your team to come up with ideas on how to solve a problem?

Hey Mason Geller 👋

Much like Adam said the timeboxing is meant for brainstorming and coming up with ideas, especially in groups. This is to inspire quick iterations and ideas over fully fleshing out concepts. It is also to prevent too much time being used for brainstorming and to help move the design thinking process along. Remember speed and generating as many ideas as possible is the name of the game here.

From my minimal knowledge on the topic, timeboxing is used to keep a task on track. All of these completed tasks will move the group towards finding a solution.
