Qwerty has become a technological endless loop. Folks learn it because the equipment is readily available, then they choose equipment based on it because they are already know how to use it.

It was actually designed to intentionally slow down the best typists as a way to reduce the occurrence of lock-ups in mechanical typewriters due to hammer collisions. Obviously, there's no need for this in electronic devices.

I'm guessing @Kenneth Love may be one of the few who has managed to break out of the loop, and adopt one of the modern effecient keyboard layouts such as Dvorak, Colemak, or maybe even Maltron.

So what do you use, Kenneth?

I've been typing Dvorak for about 10 years now.
