I have been using tree house for a long time now and have learnt so much. My issue has been over the past few months a lot of the new stuff that's coming out is basic which is great for the people who have just signed up or haven't started a particular language. For myself though I really what to see some more advance courses which help me build on my skills I picked up. Does anyone else feel the same or can someone at Team Treehouse inform if they plan on releasing these? I know they are new courses coming out java, python ect but due to no advance JavaScript ect I've but my account on hold for the time been.
Thanks
Phil

33,856 PointsHi Phil, Treehouse is expanding very rapidly. I think the main goal right now, is to get the basics to a much larger group. This strategy will in turn bring more advanced material. It's like a prep for what's to come.
Treehouse now has over 75 full-time employees and growing. There are thousands of students, so I hope you see how big of a task this is, and I'm sure they don't want to leave anyone out. By the way, Treehouse also has over 13 million raised in capital.
I like to think of what's being done as a blanket effect. Once there is a firm foundation in all of the areas, and students have learned a fair amount of programming skills, there's going to be a higher demand for more advanced material. Currently, that demand is growing but not quite where it should be.
Treehouse is preparing individuals for the millions of programming jobs available in the near future. So hang in there; it's coming, and I'm one of those who wants it as well. When that time comes, it's likely Treehouse will be the go-to place for learning technology. I feel they are doing it in the proper way. Treehouse is concerned in helping people achieve their goals. That is what sets them aside, and how empowering is that?

33,368 PointsYea I totally get that and its the logical thing to do. I think the work done at Team Treehouse is great and I've learnt a lot in a short period of time. Its just an eagerness to progress and it happens a lot quicker with Team Treehouse than it does by myself reading articles.

33,368 PointsYea I am looking forward to these. Personally I liked the PHP course where you build a store website. Id like to see something like that but more OOP based with JavaScript (not necessarily the same kind of site)
