My video playback has gone to pot...

I did a "refresh" on my laptop a few months ago and ever since then my video playback for Treehouse is glitchy. I deal with it, but it is not an optimal experience. I know it is my computer because the Treehouse playback on other computers in the house doesn't suffer the same fate. However, my laptop does handle YouTube and Netflix (and any other video as far as I know) no problem. Does anyone have any thoughts on why my Lenovo ideapad ultrabook no longer enjoys playing in the treehouse?

I have tried changing browsers. Finally I hit rock bottom and decided to delete chrome and have been using internet explorer exclusively ever since. This is a cry for help.

What kind issues do you experience while trying to watch videos?

You tried doing a complete settings reset of Chrome?

Bryan H, the only way I know how to describe it is that it is "fragmenting". I'm sure that's not a correct term for what it's doing. The video will start to break up into these like, fragments. Or it will freeze totally. Or a combination of both. This will also sometimes be accompanied by the speakers voice becoming "robot-like".

When I was using Chrome, the playback bar would not disappear. I found this issue didn't happen in internet explorer so I have been using internet explorer. I also read an article online that said IE is actually the fastest browser, although it doesn't have the extensive features like Chrome.

Andrew Molloy, if I remember correctly I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

P.S. Javier Correa also posted about a playback issue that I forgot to mention. If I pause the video and start it back it will usually reload back to the very beginning.
