14,581 PointsPHP Track - Future plans ?
Well, recently finished going through all the php training (building a simple php app, enhancing a simple php app, connecting php w/ mysql).
It was informative, useful. but didn't quite feel like enough to get me to a level where I can develop what I want and only grazed some topics.
Checked the road map for this month, but there are not announcements for php. Randy, are there any plans in the near future to give us a stronger php background?

5,093 PointsHello again Sheldon,
There are several changes coming soon to the roadmap and the continuation of a track in PHP.
A deeper dive into php, a course on object oriented php, and frameworks are all in the works.
Cheers, Hampton

5,093 PointsSheldon Muir The OOPHP Course is on the roadmap for The first of next month, and the Laravel course should be out in May. Once dates are confirmed, you will see it on the roadmap as well.

15,452 PointsCan't wait for this, all PHP jobs i've applied for/looked at, even at a entry/junior level now require experience of OOPHP and frameworks

5,093 PointsDaniel Gibson right you are. The next course releasing for PHP is a primer on OOPHP, followed by a course on Laravel

14,626 PointsI'm currently doing the Enhancing A Simple PHP APP. I think the course structure is really great. Using the lesson also as a way of explaining MVC is extremely valuable to me. However, inconsistencies deriving from the path structures/links etc, have made the lesson very difficult and, sometimes, frustrating for me. I would love to see a revised version of this lesson that is easier to follow along with.
Again, great work and continued success!
