General Discussion

Scala

I heard there was a programming language called Scala. Will treehouse hire anyone to teach it.

Shafeeq;

Scala is very closely related to the Java programming language and the two are often found together for employment requirement purposes. While I cannot speak for Treehouse and their hiring practices I would venture to guess that they won't hire a dedicated Scala instructor and would more likely lean on their current Java instructors to do a course or workshop on Scala. There isn't anything in the content roadmap or on the Trello Java content roadmap for Scala. However, if you look on the Trello site you will see a "How to request content" card on the left hand side. You might put in a suggestion for a Scala course and see how much traction it gets from the instructors and us, your fellow students!

Happy coding,
Ken
