1,953 PointsSwitching to PRO to download some courses - HELP REQUIRED <3
Hi guys - couple of quick questions (and I know it's come up in various forms in the past - but the previous posts weren't exactly useful).
Basically, next month I'm going back into the dark ages. Long story short, purchased a new apartment - no internet to the block (brand new) - and it's going to take a while to get the supply soted yadda, yadda...
So I'm thinking about switching my membership up to Pro so I can download a bunch (maybe even the whole front-end course track), so I have something to keep me busy, and can use my time constructively (without going insane) - whilst I wait for the internet gods to remedy this situation.
- Is there a limit to how many videos I can download?
- Can I bulk download a track or do I need to download each video one by one?
- Good idea? ^^
- When I get my connection back will I have to sit through all the videos again to get the track completion (if I DO THAT MUCH) - or just take the code challenges scattered between?
Thanks for your time and assistance, Kind Regards, Sammy <3

With the Basic membership, you can still download the videos. The Pro membership gives gives you access to more and different content than the Basic (Eg. Seminars, Conferences, Bonus Series Videos, etc).
To download an entire course (can't do a Track at once, but each course in the track), The easiest way is to use the iTunes Feed download link located on the left side of the course's homepage. This will open iTunes.
Sometimes the screen in iTunes jumps, so make sure you are in Podcasts > My Podcasts. Here you should see the course listed. Click the "Feed" tab (usually defaults to "unwatched") and then you can download the entire course.
When you do get your connection back online, you will have to go through all the videos again, but only the first 15 -30 seconds of each on. Once you're back online, start the course, watch your points as you watch the video, as soon as you gain a point, you can skip to the end of the video and move on to the next... and so on. Take the challenges and quizzes as normal.
Hope that helps. :)

1,953 PointsHehe, no worries. Guess I will need to take a gamble on Pro for a month and see how it goes then :)

1,953 PointsHey Jason. Thanks for the informative reply - though the iTunes Feed feature and library was retired?

...and the only option I see to download videos is under each individual video:
Download videos
Downloading videos is a Pro subscription feature. Want access?

Treehouse Moderator 145,862 PointsMy Apologies.
I'm on a Pro account as part of being a forum moderator. When I first joined Treehouse, however, video downloads were available for both memberships. I was not aware this had changed. Again, Sorry.
But I did check a few of the courses, and the iTunes link is still there. So, maybe a Pro feature as well?
Hope you get this figured out. Thank you for pointing out the Pro only for downloading. :)
