UX design training

Hello guys,

I would like to become a better UX designer, I have read Steve Krug's books and have enjoyed them. Has anyone any recommendations for a starting point in the world of UX?

Thanks

Hi James Nelson,

Look out for a new course on UX Basics coming soon! It will be taught by a well known professional in the UX industry.

If it's Jared Spool I'm probably going to fly to Orlando and start throwing fist fulls of dollar bills at team treehouse staff...

The same goes for:

  • Don Norman
  • Louis Rosenfeld

James Nelson -

The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman and The Principles of Beautiful Web Design.

Udacity currently has a course featuring Don Norman that covers a lot of the same terrority as his book.

It's true I am. I think my friends might be planning a Treehouse forum intervention

Guys I bought - 'Seductive Interaction Design' by Stephen P. Anderson and also have Steve Krug's latest edition of 'Don't make me think'

Would just like to recommend both of these books to those who may not have read them yet :)

Is 'Don't make me think' good for learning User interfaces?

Marcus H, 'Don't make me think' is a usability book written towards making much more usable user experiences with user interfaces. I cannot recommend this book enough.
