Change the value in the flavor variable to cookie dough. Preview the code and make sure the message appears.

I am having a problem with,Build a Simple PHP Application -Creating the Menu and Footer- Variables and Conditionals-Task 4

I have posted my code below, i changed the $flavor from "vanilla" to "cookie dough" on line 2, but it keeps giving me an error "Oops! It looks like Task 3 is no longer passing."

<?php

$flavor ="vanilla"; echo "<p>Your favorite flavor of ice cream is "; echo "$flavor"; echo ".</p>"; if ($flavor == "cookie dough.") { echo "Randy's favorite flavor is cookie dough, also!";}

?>

can anyone help :)

Cheers Chris

remove the full stop after dough - just went through the same problem, the answer is below - you'll have a doh moment when you see it.

<?php $flavor = "vanilla";

echo "<p>Your favorite flavor of ice cream is "; echo $flavor; echo ".</p>";

if($flavor == "cookie dough") { echo "<p>Randy's favorite flavor is cookie dough, also!</p>"; }

?>

p.s. it stripped the html tags - too lazy to format it lol

This code passes challenge four:

<?php
$flavor = "cookie dough";
echo "<p>Your favorite flavor of ice cream is ";
echo $flavor;
echo ".</p>";
if ($flavor == "cookie dough"){
echo "<p>Randy's favorite flavor is cookie dough, also!</p>";
}
?>

This was mentioned here before.

cheers guys, one gold star for both of u :)
