About this Course
Get started with creating your own digital media files. Setting up your documents properly before you start creating will be crucial for your end product. In this course we’ll learn what those considerations are as well as how to choose the right options. We’ll introduce the most prolific creative application Photoshop to set up our files, make some adjustments and come out the other end with a banner ad suitable for use on the the desktop and mobile as well as print. This course is perfect for anyone looking to get started with design or photography.

Let’s jump in! To get us started we’ll learn about resolution, displays, and the impact they have on the quality of your graphics. We will then take a look at the different types of graphics to gain a better understanding of their advantages and finally take a look at some options for creating graphics.

Now that we have learned the basics of digital graphics, let’s take a tour of the most prolific graphic and image editing application: Adobe Photoshop. We’ll go through the basics of navigating the interface and take a look at some of the more common adjustments to the application preferences.
