Learning Beyond the Techdegree

A Treehouse Techdegree should keep you pretty busy. There are plenty of videos to watch, projects to build, quizzes and challenges to test your knowledge. However, sometimes you might feel motivated to learn a skill not found within the Techdegree. Perhaps you’re a UX student interested in learning the basics of HTML and CSS, or a Front End Web Developer who would like to learn a few usability principles. Treehouse offers two ways to learn content found outside your Techdegree, in the Library and Tracks section of the main navigation.

    as you want to make your websites legible on a variety of screens. 1:03
    Typing responsive design into the search bar produces a lot of results. 1:08
    But let's use the topics filter to view only design content. 1:13
    This workshop called Responsive Design looks like a pretty good bet. 1:22
    Tracks are a customized list of courses and 1:29
    workshops that provide a guided learning path for a particular subject. 1:31
    If you're a developer looking to learn a few design principles, 1:37
    there's probably a Track for you. 1:40
    Let's use the filtering menu to once again narrow our choices to Design curriculum. 1:43
    And here's a Track called Design Skills for Web Developers. 1:50
    It looks like this Track should take about 16 hours to complete, 1:55
    and consists of a mixture of courses, workshops, and practice sessions. 1:59
    Since you're a Techdegree student, you won't be able to officially join a Track, 2:05
    which means the Track dashboard won't measure your progress 2:10
    through the Track the way your Techdegree dashboard does. 2:12
    But if you have a bit of extra learning time on your hands, completing 2:17
    a Treehouse Track is an excellent way to expand your tech knowledge. 2:21
