@Alex Hedley had an awesome idea:
Could there be a button added to the code challenge page(s) that says "stuck, need help?" Click on it and it creates a new post in the forum prefilling the above details? Or opens the forum with the given tags that relate to that specific challenge?
So I created this feature request
thread to discuss it.

39,199 PointsI think this is an awesome idea :)
Here are some of my thoughts:
The Stuck, need help?
button on code challenge pages, could open a modal dialogue, with a few suggestions:
- Look at posts from the same code challenge
- Suggest searching the forums (once that feature's been implemented)
- A primer on using codepen.io with code challenges
- Finally if all else fails, a button to create a post populated with title, link and tags

96 PointsCodeSchool does something similar to this. Their "help" button gives you up to two hints in order to solve the task at hand...the third and final hint reveals the answer.

Courses Plus Student 20,171 PointsYes Damian, but even if you use "the points" to ask for hints, you will never need points for anything later so by using hints on every excercise you can get the answers and don't learn nothing. Thats not the idea if later you want to look for a job.

96 Points@Rodrigo - I agree. I'm not saying it's a great approach...I'm only throwing out other ideas of how some other sites doing things. ;-)

Courses Plus Student 1,690 PointsI don't think it's a great idea to rely on your treehouse badges to get you a job in the first place.
They're nice, and sure you can show off some things. But at the end of the day, no one is going to hire you for any serious dev gig on just your badges alone.
The point of the site is to learn. If you do get stuck, there's nothing wrong with that at all. And I think hints may be a perfect idea, especially given the couple of times I've seen oddly-worded questions that people end up asking about on facebook or in here.
+1 to the hints idea

473 PointsThis is a good idea. I am sure the tutors browse how the subscribers are coping with the code challenges from time to time and the outline of what is expected is not always clear. Trying 3 or 4 times and failing is a turn off, one knows, how to make a string, but the answer is always wrong, so many users will just not bother...
