Treehouse Accounts

How do I do things such as upgrade, cancel, pause or update my billing information?

You can find these options on your membership page. Please watch this video to see how to navigate to that page as well as listen to an explanation on how cancelling and pausing works.

How can I gift a subscription to someone?

We can invoice you for 3 or more months. Once we've collected payment, we can then create an account on behalf of whomever you wish to gift the account to. Just send us an email with how many months, which plan and the email address for whom you want the account to be created. Please be aware that as soon as we create their account they will automatically get an email from us.

Do you offer a Group Membership at a discounted rate?

We do have a group membership discount of 25% off of your monthly or annual bill but it only is applied when you have a group of 5 or more members. For additional information on this please email us at with Group Membership in the subject line.

Do you offer a discounted student plan?

We do! It’s $9 a month and is equivalent to our Basic membership. To join, please email a valid student photo ID or a valid photo ID with your name on it. We also need to see a recent class document, that includes your name, date and school’s name, such as a class schedule, tuition bill or an unofficial transcript.

Do you have a free trial?

We offer everyone a 14 day free trial! You can take advantage of it by visiting our sign-up page!

How do I download videos for offline viewing?

The easiest solution is to download our feed via iTunes. Here’s a video walkthrough on how to accomplish this.

How do I recommend new content/new suggestions?

At this time you can email us at with the subject line Content Suggestion. We review all emails and make note each month of what our students are wanting to see. This helps shape what we do in the near future!

What can I do if I’m stuck on a Code Challenge task?

We advise that you first utilize our forum if you’re stuck on a task. Please be sure to include a link to the Code Challenge and confirm which task # you’re stuck on. Also, include a screenshot of your code within the Code Challenge text editor or a code sample in markdown.


I have a great idea for an application or website, but need help on where to begin. Can you guys help me?

We advise posting personal requests on our forum where our teachers and other students can provide you with some pointers on where to best begin!
