Video issues * minor bug with playback

  • on Chrome Version 25.0.1364.58 beta
  • When I pause a video for more than a minute or two and then try to play it. ** It runs for a few seconds and then pauses with a the 'loading' icon. ** The loading icon never stops.
  • If I move the location slider substantially sometimes it starts playing again and sometimes I have to refresh the page.

You can change your setting in Treehouse to use Flash-based video instead of HTML5

If that doesn't work, it could be an issue with one of your extensions, here are few things you can do to try and narrow down the issue:

  • Try incognito mode
  • Try a different browser
  • Try a different computer

If none of that works, email help@teamtreehouse.com and they should be able to get you straightened out.

Hey @Gary,

I hope @James's suggestions helped you out! In the future, don't use the Forum for troubleshooting support :) email the Support Team directly at help@teamtreehouse.com if you have any technical issues, billing or account questions, or have any inquiries about Treehouse content, Code Challenges, or Quizzes. :)

A great place to bounce ideas around is on the Treehouse Forumย :) It's a place to ask for help on Code Challenges, quizzes, and your personal projects! Treehouse members and the Treehouse Teamย are a valuable resource, full of knowledge and advice!

As far as the issues you're experiencing with Chrome, this is a known issue with Chrome that we're working on fixing. In the mean time you could switch to a different browser, or download the videos directly off of the video page instead of streaming them. :)

Hope that helps! Email me directly at help@teamtreehouse.com if you have any questions.

Best,

Elizabeth

The website and the video are too slow. You lose your motivation of learning in between because of pauses. The video runs too slow. They should solve this issue asap.
