Difference between EntityManagerFactory and SessionFactory?

I am able to get the categories object- EntityManager em = entityFactory.createEntityManager(); Session session = em.unwrap(Session.class); List<Category> categories = session.createCriteria(Category.class).list();

but from

Session session = sessionFactory.openSession(); List<Category> categories = session.createCriteria(Category.class).list();

I am unable to get the data.

When spring boot loads the application, I can see this in console --> Building JPA container EntityManagerFactory for persistence unit 'default'.

But Hibernate Session Factory is no where to be found....
