Hi Love,

Which language of keyboard are you using? US, UK etc.

Also, what make, model and operating system are you on?

For me, I use a Mac with a UK keyboard and I get the @ symbol fine in console using Shift + 2 as denoted on the keyboard

Strange, I am using the same and it works fine for me.

Are you trying this on the Treehouse console or Terminal on your Mac?

Hmm, strange. It works for me on the Treehouse Console, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

Try Terminal, and let me know the outcome.

The Treehouse control

Should I try the terminal instead?

on MAC go ..

  1. APPLElogo->Preferences->Keyboard->Input Sources (now add language)
  2. APPLElogo->Preferences->Keyboard->Shortcuts->Input Sources (now add tick to shortcut cmd+space) ...IF SPOTLIGHT SEARCH POPS UP THEN..
  3. APPLElogo->Preferences->Keyboard->Shortcuts->Spotlight (uptick shortcuts)
