“git-2.9.2-intel-universal-mavericks.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

I tried to link the git to Android however it doesn't work with my previous installed git. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall the git however I got error message :"“git-2.9.2-intel-universal-mavericks.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer." "Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.". Could anyone help me to resolve this? Thanks

Hello

You can go to "System Preferences" and the "Security & Privacy" tab to "Open Anyway". You can also modify the settings here.

or

  1. In the Finder, locate the app you want to open. Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.

  2. Press the Control key, then click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.

  3. Click Open.

Either way the app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app.
