It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing

I am not understanding the problem. I have completed task 1 and added the code for task 2 but I get this error. Any advice?

Hi Bryan,

Post your code so we can see. https://teamtreehouse.com/forum/posting-code-to-the-forum

Sometimes that type of error can be produced by a syntax error in your current task.

It means in the process of completing task 2 you undid what you did in task 1.

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Nick Pettit</title> </head> <body> <header> <a href="index.html"> <nav> <ul> <li>Portfolio</li> <li>About</li> <li>Contact</li> </ul> <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> <h2>Designer</h2> </a> </header> <section></section> <footer> <p>ยฉ 2013 Nick Pettit.</p> </footer> </body> </html>

The above code is my task two and completed the way it was asking me to. The only difference about this task and the previous is that I am adding the <li> tag

Try adding it inbetween 2 sets of 3 backticks

Hi Bryan,

Your code still isn't showing up properly. Check the link I gave.

Based on your text output here it looks like you have placed the navigation inside the link that wraps the h1 and h2.

You want to put the navigation after that link.
