Networking Thursday

Hey Treehouse Students!

Welcome back to another Networking Thursday, where you can make connections with other Treehouse Students.

šŸ’¬ How to participate:

  1. Answer the icebreaker activity ā€“ What are your favorite programming resources to use when coding?
  2. Share your LinkedIn profile URL for other students to connect to.
  3. Share links and/or screenshots of the projects you've been working on.
  4. Share your interests, hobbies, etc!
  5. Chat with other students here by responding to their posts!

Make those connections, support each other, leave some endorsements/recommendations on other student's LinkedIn profiles, lend a helping hand to folx in search of work in tech, and give some positive feedback on fellow student's projects. We're all on this learning journey together!

I'll kick things off! šŸ’¬

I'm Ryan Mouser, the Content & Community Marketing Specialist here at Treehouse. My pronouns are he/him. I was 15 years old when I started learning to code in PHP for a popular text-based MMORPG game. I've been with Treehouse for over 2 years now and have had the amazing opportunity to wear many different hats. I've been learning with Treehouse since 2015 (you can check out my previous profile here).

Currently, I'm working alongside our world-class team on some exciting opportunities to bring the Treehouse Community closer together. Stay tuned! šŸ˜€

Outside of Treehouse, I have the joy of living life with my incredible wife, our 3 awesome kids, and our 2 cat furbabies. We love to make music, garden, cook, play games, and watch fun TV.

You can connect with me on LinkedIn here. Looking forward to connecting with y'all!

Hoping you all stay safe, healthy, and well!

Hey all!

I'm Tyler, a FEWD Tech Degree Graduate and Slack Champion! I am constantly in the Docs for JavaScript frameworks like Vue, Nuxt, Gatsby, React, etc. but I recently discovered HTML Hell and CSS Hell which covers common bad practices and how to fix them!

You can find me here on LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/tyler-pfledderer

I am in the middle of three different projects. I am learning how to build Premium WordPress Themes to prepare for work with one local contact I have that uses WP primarily with their clients.

I am preparing to build a small business directory for my Mom and to share with a local Community College Small Business Center to provide an information, advertising, and simple B2B-focused platform for small businesses in my area. Looking to use NuxtJS with Firebase for most of the workflow.

Finally, I am almost done with my second iteration of my portfolio site, built-in NuxtJS with Netlify CMS hookup to easily add projects and potentially use for a blog page in the future.

If there are any Nuxt devs out there, I would love the feedback!

I am currently a store manager for a corporate music retail company, and an active musician on trumpet. My current hobbies have mostly been fishing on the weekends and read books on Sports Psychology, performance pedagogy, and performance philosophy.

You can also catch me watching NASCAR or F1 races :D

Oh yes you're right Jason Ziegler I forgot to say that yes, absolutely, I do exactly the same for sure: When coding I will typically use google, stackoverflow, youtube, and official documentation, they're some of our best friends! lol

Hi there... I'm Gonzalo from Argentina... Started here a long time ago (2015), but I was away for a couple of years... Yesterday I decided to come back... Now, let's do this...

1) Icebreaker... I've been here, Platzi, CodeSchool (RIP), and CodeCademy, mostly...

2) https://www.linkedin.com/in/gonzalo-blasco/

3) WBTVD

I worked with Super7UI during the last 10 months implementing accessibility in WBTVD site (owned by WarnerMedia)

4) Playing with my son and my dog...

How's it going, I'm Gerlin a FEWD tech degree graduate and currently a Full-stack student.

I would have to say Youtube, StackOverflow, and Codepen are definitely my go-to's for resources.

Hello, all!

When coding I will typically use google, stackoverflow, youtube, and official documentation.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-ziegler-4576523b/

I don't have many projects that are my own, as I have mostly just been striving to complete the course projects as quickly as possible, but here is something I created with JS before I started this course: http://jasonmziegler.tech/rpg-dice-battle/

When not working or coding, I like to play Minecraft with my son, draw with my daughter, or watch movies with my wife.

Happy coding, all!
