hey ! please I just wanna know exactly when we should use the dollar sign before a avriable and when we shouldnt, is it just a question of preference or there is a rule !

It's to make easier the identification of the datas stored in the variable. Often you want to preceed the variable name with a dollar sign when you store inside Jquery objects.
