Threads - Service - Update UI

I was wondering if I could do the following steps with that sequence :

1: start a Service from an broadcast receiver (EVENT - BATTERY)... 2: in Service start many Threads ... 3: Threads start classes which do specific work (e.g. Read the Content Provider )... 4: for that classes update the Ui (with Broadcast) ... Thanks fro your time :)
