Hi,

To select an element by its class you use a period like below:

<span class="my-class"></span>
.my-class {
  color: red;
}

To select an element by its ID you use a # symbol like below:

<span id="my-id"></span>
#my-id {
  color: red;
}

I hope this helps :) Craig
